Spacecoast Daylilies
Daylilies by the Kinnebrews
Tom Adams
(Kinnebrew,  2008)

5½”, sev, rec, TET – Again, we
absolutely love dark, rich colored
daylilies.  As a result, this may be our
favorite from this collection.  However,
here we have a bird of a much different
feather. The base color is a medium to
dark purple which is complimented by a
dominant black eye and edge.  The whole
flower has the look of plush velvet.
Finally, a silvery-white edge accents
each blossom.  During rebloom, this edge
will become heavier and show some
occasional teeth.  Any breeder can see
the multitude of possibilities here.
Whether you are working toward eyes
and edges, super dark colors, or even
toothy edges, this is a solid choice.
Which brings to light another point,
Tom
Adams
produces seed like no other.
Named for our good friend and fellow
daylily fancier from Ocean Springs ,
Mississippi.  Scapes are a stocky 22”
holding up to 20 buds.  Again, extremely
fertile.

Price: $50
